Construction
The least costly time to reduce or eliminate the risks of
construction defects is before construction is ever started.
Unfortunately, many projects proceed to construction with conflicts,
discrepancies, ambiguities and impossibilities built right in. Lack of
knowledge of building codes, construction procedures, standard methods
and practices and management techniques are frequently the cause. The
results are predictable; change orders, cost overruns, delays and
litigation.
Many
"off-the-shelf" plans and procedures have been developed from past
practices using information that is significantly outdated or simply not
applicable. As a result, these are not suitable for use in a changing
code environment.
With WBC acting in
an advisory capacity, critical gaps in the construction process can be
eliminated. We do not replace the need for architects, engineers
or contractors. We simply make the process more cohesive and
support the various experts involved.
