Our Services

Building code consulting services are often needed by designers and builders.  Quite often it is more cost effective to utilize prescriptive or conventional methods than it is to design a complete building. At the same time, it is a challenge to keep abreast of ever-changing building codes.  The abundance of referenced standards (ANSI, ASTM, etc) expand the codes beyond prescriptive language or design alone.  If you are a specifier, designer, architect or contractor, you may need evidence for the local building official that you are using code-complying materials such as an ICC-ES report.  Utilizing a code consultant can provide the needed guidance for integration of compatible conventional elements with an engineered design.

Architects also face the challenge of making aesthetically appealing designs compliant with today's building code requirements.  A review of your design can help in knowing when to consider utilizing prescriptive methods in lieu of engineered design elements.
